CAPSA's database provides statistical data focusing on secondary crops in Asia and the Pacific at national, provincial and district levels. Data currently available cover 17 Asian and Pacific countries. The expansion of the database is an ongoing affair with additional data regularly added.

The data are acquired through governmental statistical bureaus in each respective country to maintain the reliability of the data. The major constraint in expanding the country coverage is the difficulty in collecting data from reliable sources. CAPSA continuously attempts to strengthen its collaboration with member countries in pursuit of this purpose. The data have been widely used by policy formulators, decision-makers, researchers and university students worldwide through the on-line media.

The integration of the statistical and library database has been undertaken using a web-based format to finalize users’ queries.
